The CCSA has been a pioneer in bringing early childhood programs to Chemainus and Crofton since the year 2000! The early years are defining years in child development and it is important to spend these years bonding with your children and introducing them to others in the community.
Eagle Wings Preschool
“Children are born with wings. Eagle Wings Preschool helps them to fly.” What: Eagle Wings is a safe and fun environment that encourages social growth and school preparedness in children ages 3 to 5. During the short hours of preschool, children learn to be independent from their families and start to develop relationships with their peers. Eagle Wings curriculum is play based and fast paced! Our program includes the arts, physical activity, garden and nature sciences and reading.

Specialized subsidies are available for early years families through the BC Government. Apply to see if you qualify for full or partial subsidy.

Chemainus StrongStart
What: StrongStart is a drop-in program for parents and children aged 0 to 5. It offers a prime location and resources to bond with your child while enjoying an atmosphere of play-based learning with other parents and children in the community.
Where: Chemainus Elementary Community School Early Years Portable B
When: Monday/Friday 8:30am to 12:15pm & Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 8:30amm to 11:00am Drop in during these times.
Cost: FREE. Funded by the Ministry of Education and Childcare, BC Government
